Hey folks, get ready for the time of your life at Tobacco Road in Miami. Tobacco Road is a restaurant, bar, blues club, eclectic music spot, and meeting place for generations of people from every walk of life. This is not only one of the best bars and restaurants in Miami, it is the oldest. Established in 1912 they are quickly closing in on the century mark. No place stays in business for 100 years if it doesn’t have a ton of great things to offer.

Redbull Flugtag
Most festivals take place at a certain place or a certain time of year. The Redbull Flugtag, however adheres to very few rules. Sponsored by Red Bull (yes, the famous energy drink that gives you wings) the Flugtag is a wet and wild event that occurs at various spots all over the world each year. The official goal is to create a homemade human powered flying machine that glides as far as possible off a long pier with a 30 foot drop off. Unofficially very few of these quirky crafts do anything even close to flying and become more of a comical fall into the waters below. This is where all the fun for the thousands of spectators comes in.

Situated on Watson Island in Miami, right between Miami Beach and Downtown Miami, is a wonderful interactive theme park that teaches about and features an amazing array of animals. Jungle Island is home to a variety of birds, mammals, primates, reptiles and fish and features some very unique animals like Ligers. Originally founded in 1936 and named Parrot Island, the park was located in southwest Miami and was one of the first tourist attractions established in the area. In the early 2000s it was decided that the park would move to its new Watson Island location and the previous park’s land was rededicated and developed into Pinecrest Gardens, a public park that features a Botanical garden, butterfly exhibit, petting zoo and more.
