Water Country USA :: Williamsburg, Virginia

Located just 3 miles away from Busch Gardens Williamsburg, is Water Country USA. Set to a 1950’s and 60’s surf theme, Water Country USA is jam-packed with fun in the sun and is the largest of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region. Enjoy riding state-of-the-art water rides and attractions before settling down to watch the Island Quest show featuring acrobats, divers, and trampoline artists. Learn why Water Country USA has been rated “One of America’s Best Water Parks” by the Travel Channel. While there, try out one of the several eateries available; serving everything from hamburgers and pizzas to club sandwiches and deli wraps.

The largest family ride at Water Country USA is the Aquazoid which allows 4 people to hop on a huge raft all at once. The Aquazoid gives you a white water rafting experience while taking you through dark tunnels and water falls. The most unique thing about this water ride is the fact that it uses special effects which include beams of light patterns which appear on the top of the slide giving you a sci-fi water ride to remember.

The Jet Stream is another must ride. It includes 4 different water slides to choose from, all which send you twisting and turning while traveling at 25 mph down 415 feet of slide before going to the splash finish. Two of the slides are open slides and the other two are closed slides or tunnel slides and are all twisted around one another but all lead to the same pool of water.

If you are in the mood to race your friends or family members you must try out the Nitro-Racer. This slide features 6 separate slides in a row; contestants start at the top of the platform at the “starting line” and then lay belly-down on a mat before they set off down this speedy slide. Can you beat the others to the finish line first?

Make note that if you want a full day of non-stop fun in Virginia you can always pick up a “Bounce Pass”. This pass not only allows you to ride all of the water slides available at Water Country USA but it also allows you to “Bounce” over to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. This is the most cost efficient way to hit two types of theme parks in one day; giving you and the whole family two unforgettable experiences.
